I was in the ED Tech group for our prototype reflection. It was a rather interesting group as almost all the ideas were very different, but somehow there were already existing variations of the ideas. Prototypes ranged from refillable Expo markers to vegetable cutters for culinary education. The idea that stood out most to me was Shariar's, he wanted to create a some sort of microphone interface that would pick up on what professors or speakers are saying and have the words come up on the board in real time. His intended audience seemed to be at students and those that were hearing impaired.

As for my prototype, the people that are being served are mostly students. Students are the main consumers of backpack and often times are carrying around heaving books and laptops which puts a strain on their posture and ultimately their physical health. The salient identities of students vary- there are students from all walks of life. From different races, cultures, and socioeconomic backgrounds and provided a backpack that will enhance their formative years. There is an array of technology that aims to serve students, ranging from technologies virtual keyboards to smart pens. Technologies for students will continue to surface it is ultimately the youth coming up with innovative solution to whatever problems they may experience.
